How Does Vadis Change Lives?

Vadis has been changing the lives of people with disabilities since 1979. We take pride in serving and supporting our participants in their own community. In the past, our participants would have been isolated from the community and had very few options for employment. They would have had limited opportunities to lead full, vital lives and enjoy the activities many people take for granted.

Today, Vadis practices person-centered planning and supports, which include community involvement, volunteer opportunities, team employment and individual employment. We also assist with housing needs and other planning. We work closely with our participants and their families to determine what supports best fit each participant.

Vadis and similar services continue to be in demand throughout local communities. In the Pierce County, the number of underserved individuals numbers in the hundreds with many waiting for service availability. We currently support almost 400 people per month through a variety of programs and service models. This number is limited only by our resources.
