Group Employment

Working Crews

Vadis employs people with disabilities in several small group commercial endeavors. Often called "enclaves" or "mobile crews" this approach offers a different kind of work environment in the community for people to experience. A Vadis support supervisor accompanies and supervises a group of five to eight individuals with disabilities in a variety of job situations.  Examples of this include;

  • Landscaping and grounds crews in South King and Pierce County
  • Retail support crews in Pierce County home improvement stores
  • Support crew for Pierce County cable contractor

Benefits of Working

Our Group Employment division provides a variety of employment situations for more than 60 people with disabilities. The group setting allows people with disabilities to work in their communities with a supportive team concept. Having the option of group employment provides our participants with an earned income,  increased  independence, and the pride of being a legitimate contributor to society. Further, it provides them with the opportunity to re-invest in the community as a consumer.
