Vadis provides employment opportunities for youth and adults with disabilities in six counties: Pierce, King, Snohomish, Kitsap, Thurston and Mason.
Youth are 18-24 and transitioning from high school special education classes.
Adults are 18-64.
Community Inclusion supports individuals in participating in activities or education opportunities, building relationships and engaging in their communities.
The program is open to individuals with developmental disabilities age 53 or older OR individuals 21 and over if previously enrolled in an employment services program (for nine months or more) and wish to explore alternative options.
Vadis purchases and rehabs houses to rent to low-income individuals with disabilities. Houses are adapted to meet the accommodation needs of its tenants. Houses are sought in areas with access to transportation, services and community hubs. Having an affordable quality home allows individuals to be active in their communities, gain independence and get to and from work easily. Everyone deserves a home that meets their needs.
